I am experiencing an issue with shutting down a server I have which has Mandrake 7.0 installed. When I restart the machine, it goes through the normal KXY scripts. I notice eth0 is high up on the list. Eth0 shuts down, a few other services go down, and then the system reaches killall. At this point it is stuck trying to kill an RPC service (probably has to do with automounts and AMD). The error message I am getting is: RPC: sendmsg returned error 101 Should I give killall a lower shutdown number than eth0 to avoid this? I am guessing that it can't unmount any filesystems that were mounted b/c eth0 is down.. Also, is this the right place ot post bugs? Thanks. -- Mike Esler Sverdrup Technology System Administrator
