I did actually get the webcam to work, though it was
rather horrible.
I had to get the kernel patch that came from the dev
kernel.
xawtv picked up the webcam, though I had to modprobe a
few modules to get it to work. (ibmcam.o) (??)
A few searches on dejanews gave me some results that
helped a
Try beta development 2.0 program www.gphoto.org, but you can't download it
yet, you need to join a developer team.
