[expert] ac97 sound

Hi all I have just bought an AMD DURON 600 and the gigabyte mainboard has on board AC97sound card LM 7.1 detects it successfully but fails to insmod the via..(something module) and the sb.0 as well What can I do to fix this because drake doesn't see it at all? Thanks Chadley By the way I

Use alsa drivers from www.alsa-project.org.. they have a module for AC97 and it works perfect! -sarang
