i configured the 2.4.3-20mdk kernel for my needs (duron opt), usb, and some

features, compiled it as described on mandrakeuser.org (with modules and
everything) (it doesnt work when changing the extra-version number in
makefile, as described on mandrakeuser.org!!), everything
sets up /etc/modules.conf which is used to make an
initial ram
disk that loads the modules it needs.
Well in my case I just edit lilo.conf and not using
initrd any more and I found no problem so far...;
What do you think?
