Hi list, I've finally got Rh 6.0 installed on an old 486 laptop. It did not have a built in CD. I installed from an ext. parallel port CD, the only 'paride.img' that actually worked on the laptop was for Rh 6.0. I'd like to upgrade from rh 6.0 to mandrake 7.0i486. How should i go about doing this. I've recomplied the parallel port modules into the kernel and my cd work perfectly now. how can i start the upgrage from within linux. I could copy the contents of the cd to the hd if required. also will i loose my heavily trimmed down kernel? Thanks in advance Ashley Moore.
