I am installing KDE2.2, latest one off the download page on kde.org and
after doing rpm -Fvh --test * in the directory I downloaded the packages
to I get the following errors...

installing a theme in KDE2. Would have been nice if such instructions
were permanently posted on the www.kde.org Theme home page. Meanwhile, I

Either will work fine, but you need to be root to installa theme for use
by other users, whereas the /home//.kde stuff allows you to
install a theme for your own use only.
