Probably a quick one, but neither google or I have sorted it out yet... I have a HP LH PRO with a AMI Megaraid controller in it. Connected to the controller are 2 4gig disks I've got configured to be mirrored using the hardware raid. (when doing the install you only see 1 4 gig disk) Now Mandrake 7.2 installs fine, and when using a boot floppy can see the controller etc... however when booting off of the controller, lilo comes up, it finds the kernel image and then stops at "unpacking the kernel..." I don't get any errors, it just hangs. I hooked up a regular scsi disk to one of the other Adaptec controllers but by the nature of the way the machine is layed out sda is the raid controller so the boot sector ends up on it anyway. My kernel works properly because it can access all the filesystems that reside on those disks, I just can't boot off of them. It feels like an issue with lilo... If anybody has experience with this I'd like to know what the solution would be. Thanks, Tim Keller Stratus Technologies
