Why must the precompiled kernels have this stupid thing enabled? It
drives me crazy. My laptop's battery lasts a fraction of what it should.
I have to recompile the kernel every time I upgrade Mandrake for my laptop. 
That is unless someone can point out where the
precompiled kernels configuration files are... I always have a lot of
trouble getting my accursed network card to work, but the precompiled
kernels do it fine. any suggestions? This doesn't fix the problem of
having kapm-idled running, but it does make my life easier.
