I am trying to map some of the extra keys on my logitech internet kb. I have a couple of questions. My keyboard model is found in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/symbols/inet as logiinternet and I have added this line to my /etc/X11/XF86Config-4: Option "XkbModel" "logiinternet" I use fluxbox and I have defined the www key to open Mozilla and scroll key for aumix volume, they work fine.
First question is I wonder how I could map the native key cmds in mozilla like Alt+B, Alt+Left Arrow, etc. to the hot keys on my board like back, history, etc.,using fluxbox. Also I cant get the keys working in kde. When I try to add entry in with kmenuedit I go to custom key and press the key i want and it doesnt work. But b4 I knew about the xf86 extra keys mapping I created a ~/.Xmodmap and defined 2 keycode #s as F22 and F23(Found the keycodes using xev). These keys worked in kmenuedit. But now I've setup the logiinternet kb model i cant get the keys recognized in kmenuedit but their mapping shows up in xev, its mind boggling to me why kmenuedit wont recognize them. I wonder where I could manually edit keybindings for kde somewhere like /usr/share/fluxbox/keys to see if that would work. -- "I've made many statements about being sober, and one I can really say is ... sobriety f**king sucks!" --Ozzy Osbourne Chad Young Registered Linux User #195191 @ http://counter.li.org ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Linux localhost 2.4.18-pre7-ac2 #2 Thu Jan 31 18:48:48 AST 2002 i686 unknown 3:45pm up 3:27, 6 users, load average: 0.16, 0.17, 0.11
