Have you supermount enabled? Is the floppy disk icon a link to /mnt/floppy
or have you added it to desktop with "add new... -> floppy disk?"
With supermount enabled, the second does not work, since it tries to mount
/dev/fd0 in /mnt/floppy, and /mnt/floppy is already mounted by supermount at

I've tried to find an answer to this on the newbie sites, but to no avail.
Running Mandrake 8, and logged in as root, using KDE, my floppy disk icon
has a little lock on it, and when I try to access the floppy, it tells me I
don't have permission. I though root had permission to do everything.
