Ive experienced this kind of problem many times and what i normally do is: - remove my share in /etc/exports - reboot the system - add my share in /etc/exports - restart the daemon /etc/rc.d/init.d/nfs restart - run exportfs exportfs -av It works for me so i hope it works for you too. Cha

I have been able to nfs mount the root partition of a computer for over a year with no problems. Recently, power went out, affecting both of the computers involved, causing both to die a horrible death. As I was not around at the time, I don't know what error messages were shown when the machines
