Hi,
I've just installed 9.1 here, which seems to have a different version of
PostgreSQL than 9.0... It's 7.3 now...
That's a good thing of course, but the postgresql-jdbc package now
contains 4 (!) different jdbc drivers, and I can't find documentation on
which one does what...
Could anyone help
Is anyone using this combination successfully?
regards
Daryl

Does anyone know how to get started with this?
The postgresql server and postmaster are started, but I can't add users
or do anything useful. Either from root or my normal user, createuser,
for example, reports that the slected user is not in something called
'pg_shadow'. The admin guide d
I tried starting by :
/etc/rc.d/init.d/postgresql start
but I get: 'checking postgresql installation: no database files found

I have Mandrake 7.0 and I have been trying to gety PostgreSQl running but
unsuccesfully.
If I type 'psql', i get connection refused.

system data...'

No, there is no update yet, I'm checking this today. Everytime I rebuild
the package, some files are missing (*sigh*).
Version 6.5 is supposed to be out since yesterday, but all I see is a
beta2 version. Hopefully the update will be 6.5.

Hi
I installed mandrake 6.0 some day ago.
I have some problems with postgresql.
There seems to be missing some files from
/var/lib/pgsql/
Can anybody confirm that ??
I also have a problem that netcape can't locate localhost.
Is that fixed with the netscape 4.51 install ???
