Hi All,
I have setup a custom ppp0 configuration file so I can connect to the internet with an uncommon modem. Everytime I have to reboot the machine, take down ppp0 or modify the network, ppp0 gets either modifyed or deleted. In Mandrake 8.0 and Redhat 7.1, the ppp0 stayed the same when ever I did something, but since Mandrake 8.1, it has been deleting itself everytime I have to do a reboot. Is there anyway to make ppp0 read-only to the system, so that it soesn't delete itself. It is an important feature that I need to have so if anyone has any ideas, let me know.
