Hi guys, I am getting wrong uptime.. the uptime is less than a day although my machine is up and running for 3 days now (since I installed LM 7.2).. I couldn't find anything in the log files.. Here are some things from my /var/log/messages file : this keeps repeating! Oct 29 21:02:41 vx15 modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module binfmt-0000 Oct 29 21:02:41 vx15 modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module binfmt-0000 Oct 29 21:02:47 vx15 modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module sound-slot-0 Oct 29 21:02:47 vx15 modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module sound-service-0-3 Oct 29 21:02:47 vx15 modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module sound-slot-0 Oct 29 21:02:47 vx15 modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module sound-service-0-0 Tracing the uptime backwards, I found that around 1930 Oct 30, the uptime was reset.. here is the log of that time : Oct 30 19:01:00 vx15 CROND[11364]: (root) CMD (run-parts /etc/cron.hourly) Oct 30 19:10:01 vx15 CROND[11372]: (root) CMD ( /sbin/rmmod -as) Oct 30 19:20:00 vx15 CROND[11374]: (root) CMD ( /sbin/rmmod -as) Oct 31 09:30:34 vx15 kernel: eth0: card reports no resources. Oct 31 09:30:42 vx15 PAM_unix[11375]: authentication failure; (uid=829) -> lsarang for system-auth serOct 31 09:31:26 vx15 CROND[11386]: (root) CMD ( /sbin/rmmod -as) Oct 31 09:31:26 vx15 CROND[11387]: (root) CMD (run-parts /etc/cron.hourly) Oct 31 09:31:26 vx15 CROND[11389]: (root) CMD ( /usr/share/msec/security.sh) Oct 31 09:31:26 vx15 CROND[11390]: (root) CMD (run-parts /etc/cron.daily) Oct 31 09:31:26 vx15 anacron[11402]: Updated timestamp for job `cron.daily' to 2000-10-31 Oct 31 09:31:26 vx15 PAM_unix[11413]: (system-auth) session opened for user htdig by (uid=0) Oct 31 09:31:27 vx15 PAM_unix[11413]: (system-auth) session closed for user htdig Also, my /etc/rc.d/init.d/nfslock daemon is not starting..
