I got the kernel-2.4.17-8-1-1mdk.rpm from cooker : ftp://ftp.club-internet.fr/pub/unix/linux/distributions/Mandrake-devel/cooker/cooker/Mandrake/RPMS/ And thanks to a lot of help which came down to a very simple two line suggestion I Install them into 8.0 and they work just dandy. Don't
