I was'nt doing anything but KDE
it did manage to load in under 3 secs the other day (no idea why), but
now its back to 20secs or so.
so, 99% idle before, around 90% idle during, and back to 99% after closing

5 seconds on my Athlon 1.1Gig. Give us your hardware specs. Wha
nope, but I can tell you that it takes only about 20 seconds on my old
Pentium Pro 200 with 96MB
so might be something specific to your system/install.
