I am not sure what you expect from this and here is why. If you are expecting everyone to be able to update the files then only one person can do that at any one time. ( If they didn't then the last person to close the file would be the only one who's changes would take effect.) As I am unfamili

I had similar problems with client locking mechanisms. If you use Webmin to administer your Samba shares: 1)Edit the share 2)Click on the file Permissions button 3)Set the following items - New Unix file mode:0660 - New Unix directory mode: 0770 - Force Unix user: USER - Force Unix group: GROUP -
