Quote of the Week What Does Enlightenment Look Like? What is the relationship between higher states of consciousness and human transformation? Or, to put it more bluntly: What is the relationship between enlightenment and human behavior? It seems that over the last decade or two, enlightenment has commonly been reduced to being nothing more or less than a higher state experience, which is ultimately not that useful when it comes to the nuts-and-bolts reality of our ever more complex human lives. For a long time, I've been defining enlightenment as the experience of consciousness beyond ego, and when we put the notion of enlightenment in an evolutionary context, the question becomes, what does it actually look like when real human beings evolve beyond ego and continue to develop, in our world, in that new enlightened context, together?
