My dad was good at pool. Story goes he even beat Minnesota Fats once
but I have my doubts about that. He was good at math and geometry so
applied those skills. For some reason though I never tried I could win
at pool during my early 20s. Now I'm lousy at it.
During my first summer club gig
I am easily distracted by fun.
In my first year of college, I joined a fraternity
for no better reason than that my father had been
a member of it, and found that they had a pool table.
I was lost.
I really got *into* the Zen of playing pool, reading
books about it written by the great masters
