I attended the first annual event at the Fort Mason Center here in SF.  It was 
celebrating the poetry of women's poetry during the Beatnik era which produced 
poets like Keroac and Ginsberg.  Also,  I learned something about the proper 
way of reading poetry.  You're supposed to read poetry clearly and distinctly 
to let the words speak for themselves without being showy and animated.
 

 Otherwise, I didn't see any evidence of offbeat behavior among the small crowd 
that was present.  Two women were drinking white wine, but no smell of bhong 
was present.  I didn't see anyone smoking cigarettes and wearing beret with 
dark shades.  But I was wearing a tan panama hat with my glasses.  It was more 
like a poetry class held in a library, which it was.
