In the face of materialistic determinism, Dr. Eben Alexander draws upon ideas from quantum mechanics, interconnectedness, and the universality of Consciousness in an attempt to refute the non-free will argument. Does he succeed? He needs more specifics in his presentation, but it's a good step in the right direction. Another point he brings up is the possible influence on decisions among those who believe that the universe is fully deterministic and therefore without free will.
