On bulletin boards around Fairfield, Iowa and in the Dome you can feel a similar poignancy reading the handbills of idealistic young enthusiastic meditators soliciting financial support to go on to TM Teacher training (TTC) this fall. Reading the Bios of young people purposefully wanting to go on to TTC and out into the world, one handbill I paused at was one from a young person wanting to be the first TM Teacher in Afghanistan. I thought wow, there is someone bucking for sainthood..
There is quite an international assortment of young people. Some want to go or return to particular countries, others for a particular mission, like this person to be able to teach a transcending meditation in prisons.
