I don't hate mental techniques. How silly. I do hate unscrupulous spiritualists making a buck on innocent hicks in the sticks. That's the TMO, Doug and Rick Archer -- all helping fool the hicks....for profit. YEAH I SAID, Rick Archer is a fraud. I have not been on his case all these years, because, hey, FFL counterbalanced BATGAP, and I didn't think Rick needed to be exposed all that much for interviewing hucksters wearing kid gloves.
The TM technique correlates without causality, (but almost any technique does this too,) so it does NOT deliver ANYTHING that the TMO promises....because all promises by anyone are ALL false, because: God is doing everything and nobody truly exists and causality is a crock. But the TMO would have you believe in PERSONHOOD....which is THE SIN in every spiritual guidebook, and that is how Kali Yuga rolls. And as much as Rick has (a trivial few sentences) tried to explain himself with a couple of messages, he has NOT SAID WHY HE TRUSTS DOUG -- when Doug is known here very well to be a mind with a history of being an impulsive, obsessive and genuine troublemaker out-to-get attention by any means. WHY RICK, WHY? Doug to FFL is the same as Rick Santorum being made the head of the Democratic Party. AND RICK KNOWS THIS. This is not a nonchalant act -- this is AN ATTACK ON ALL OF OUR FEELING LEVELS. Rick wanted some of us to just fucking get riled up and that somehow made sense to Rick....and that's the kind of sense that makes money. How so? If Rick defends spiritual snake-oil salespersons, he gets to get that person to use RICK'S BUSINESS SERVICES for that person's Web site's search engine maximum-ication-ing...for a serious amount of dollars. See? He's a leech on the industry.....a lamprey on the sharks that come through town. Rick is making money -- if we don't make fun of his interviewees. See? So give Doug a gun and tell him to shoot the naysayers. Makes sense. If any of the interviewees gets famous, then Rick gets advertising profits from those interview-vids on youtube. And who knows, maybe Rick is now scamming the interviewees by many an easily imagined method. How about: "Hey, I can interview you, but I can't because I have to work, but if you paid me an honorarium/per diem, I'll backlog my work clients." Do you honestly think Rick is not doing this kind of stuff? Why? Because Rick's a good guy who'd never abuse hundreds of writers at FFL and is always fair? Who feels safer now? Who thinks Doug will be wise and fair? Who is not now threatened? The tender feeling level between Doug and MOST OF THE FFL MEMBERS is BAD...he upsets us...he messes with our sense of security here...he threatens us DIRECTLY AND PERSONALLY -- for instance, by making what seem to be suggestions to me to stop swearing and reminding me that HIS guidelines would allow him to punish me. AND THAT MAKES HIM MY ENEMY, because I'm a writer, and what I do here is not for the likes of his sicko POV. The promise of Rick to all of us was that FFL was to be our legacy -- our way of saying what the technique and TMO meant to us and why -- THAT'S A LEGAL PROMISE. I'd be willing to go to any jury and say, "Hundreds and hundreds of thousands of posts at FFL were made because of a SOCIAL CONTRACT that had become an emergent phenomenon -- just as two people are consider married under common law." WE HAVE RIGHTS BY DINT OF HAVING BEEN HERE ALL THIS TIME. And don't tell me, "Oh Doug's only going to ban you if you're bad." He's already dumped folks FOR NO STATED REASONS THAT WERE AN HONESTLY, FAIRLY AND LOGICALLY APPLIED MORALITY. And because of those sins, Doug, if you see me walking your way, run, because I don't want to hit you and don't plan to, but if God puts us near each other, I'd say it was a divine sign and all bets would be off. Good news, I don't even know what you look like. Heh. This has been another entertainment-only essay. If you're triggered by it, must be that I accidentally put some truth in it. ---In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, <emptybill@...> wrote : The TM haters like Edg are so attached to their petty negativities about the TMO that they generalize it not just to Rick but to the technique itself. None of their complaints means anything - it's about as disturbing as a whistling wind on a blustery day. Edg would better serve himself by starting his own "I hate TM" group. He could then holler over to MJ, Barry and the other haters and get a chorus started. Maybe it could be called FFL-FU. Perhaps Alex would show him how.
