The updates on that branch assume you've installed these:
brew install gtk+3 gtkmm3
Then the output of this command might help you finish the compiling:
pkg-config --cflags --libs gtk+-3.0 gtkmm-3.0
But I will keep trying this weekend to finish up the github action!
