Richard & David, Good point that it's using gcc, I didn't catch that. I do have the sun compiler installed, with /opt/SUNWspro/bin at the top of my PATH so I was going on the assumption that it would use CC rather than gcc. I tried to add a CC=/opt/SUNWspro/bin/CC to my gmake, but that created ot
