i used to network installation of fedora 9
but today we get dell optiplex 760 with intel 82567LM-3 gigabits.
the problem is that there s no driver for that card in the initrd.img
file of the installation image.
For previous version of fedora i succeed in adding

reaction and a new release (0.11) is out since May 31. Someone have news

After upgrading my kernel I got read errors on my external USB disk when
doing a pvscan and LVM wouldn't recognize it as a valid volume. My
internal LVM PV worked fine.
Booting back into kernel-2.6.27.15-170.2.24.fc10.i686 made it work
again. Has anyone else seen problems with USB storage af
oot/initrd-`uname -r`.img.backup
4. mkinitrd -v /boot/initrd-`uname -r`.img `uname -r`
5. add this "nopat" to the kernel arguments in /boot/grub/grub.conf
6. reboot

I had the same problem with that card. I'm not at the PC that this happened
on so I'm trying to recall this from memory now...
Double click the sound icon on the gnome panel to bring up the volume bars.

I tried installing F9 on a 1-TB SATA drive after configuring it in
the system BIOS to be the boot drive. I found it to be very
unreliable... sometimes it would boot and sometimes it would not.
I took that drive out and put in a 120-GB IDE drive and that works fine.

Thanks for your assistance.
I had previously verified that sendmail was running (said
"/etc/init.d/sendmail status" and got back info that both sendmail
and sm-client were running). I had also checked /var/log/maillog and
it claimed that the email had been "st
It appears that outgoing mail using the simple "mail" command (as in
"mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]") isn't working in F9.
I don't recall doing anything special in previous releases e.g. F8,
F6... it Just Worked. I think. I have some notes from those
previous installations and don't see anything
