removed PAN from my system with yum remove pan and
installed it again with yum install pan. Since this time, PAN is working
very well.
I hope this will also works for you. If not, then maybe you can try a
newer pan version (from fc9 maybe).

I installed FC9 the last day. After configuring all stuff, all things
seems to be working well (also flash in firefox).
Today I made an yum update (and did not really look what will be updated
*sigh*). After that my flashplugin is no longer working in firefox.
