Help, please, I recently upgraded online from F10 to F11 but now the
system hangs with a blinking cursor to the top left hand side of the
screen immediately after the fedora 11 progress bar at bottom of the
screen completes.
Can someone advise me how to solve this problem?

I've upgraded my motherboard to an Asus P6T with i7 processor, which
seems to run OK until I reboot after software updates, then I have to
reset the CMOS each time.
I suspect the bios conflicts with an old PCI graphics card (3D labs
oxygen) which shows up during POST before the screen goes bla
Sorry if this is basic.
Since I started using Fedora 10 I can't login as root.
Even though the system recognizes the root password when it requires it
for certain administrative tasks it refuses to let me login as root.
When I try to edit httpd.conf I get the message "could not save file..."
Can anyone give me a link to resource explaining how I can boot from network
and install F9 -I have a laptop with non-functioning DVD drive and no
floppy.
Alternatively how to install it via usb flash drive?

My laptop hard drive died. The dvd-etc drive had been generatinb I/O errors
for some time and i don't want to buy a new one in case it is a motherboard
problem.
I have a new hard drive and I am not sure if my bios will recognise a usb
flashdrive to boot.
The bios has a vrsion of pxe.
