Since keeping cats out of the shelter is, in our opinion, the best way to
keep them alive, we have several programs in addition to our rescue and
adoption program.

One is "Litter Patrol", where we take in litters of unwanted kittens and
have them spayed and neutered and then adopt them, in exchange for having
the mom cat spayed at our expense and returned to the owner. This prevents
owner turn-ins at the shelter for "too many cats" and prevents further
unwanted litters from being born.

A second program is "Homebound Animal Transport Services" where we take the
pets of the elderly, handicapped and homebound to our vet for
spaying/neutering and essential veterinary care.

A third program is our TNR program, where we assist people in trapping,
neutering and returning cats to their environment. Again we pay for the
spay/neuter and rabies shot.

Then we are just starting out "Kibble Konnection", where we collect pet food
and cat litter and distribute it to owners who cannot afford to take care of
their animals.

Please help us - if you are in the Austin, TX area the thing we need MOST is
more volunteers! If not, please consider making a donation in any amount you
can to our "30 Spays in 30 Days" campaign.

A spay at our vet costs $55, and a rabies shot at the same time costs $6.
That is $1830 for 30 spays/rabies shots. Sound like an overwhelming amount?
It does to us! But if everyone just gives a little, we can accomplish our
goal and help cats in our community. As always, your contributions are tax
deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Thanks so much!
