Thanks for the tips Christ - I made note of all of them! I think my husband and I are crazy enough to do it ourselves, but know it will take some time. I have a great eye for spatial perception, so we'll be good there. I know it will be no walk in the park, and hopefully, my mother-in-law's

Wear a mask when you tear up the carpet. If you have never done it, you will be surprised what stuff is under carpet. If you have men who will exclude any of God's creatures from the shelter
