You bring up some good points, and you are right about the de-Bayer. I
figured that would be handled in the conversion process. I guess I am not
fully present to all the issues that would be needed to handled to make this
happen.

Could Canon RAW or CRAW/.crm decode be added to FFMPEG? It would be nice to
be able to use FFMPEG to batch convert .CRM to OpenEXR with compression, DPX,
