Hi, We used to show American Saddlebreds. We grew tails that were sometimes 6 ft long. These horses were never out of the barn except to ride or to show. The tails were braided and put in sacks to keep them clean. When we retired our gaited show mare she had a tail that was 6 ft long from the tip
