Beware the funky sock yarn that knits up into patterns... it is
addicting!!! I'm on my 4th pair. It's so much fun to watch the patterns
appear without even thinking about it and if you pay attention to
where in the color changes you start the first sock you can make the

I have an old knitking (I think) 820, w/a ribber. I wouldn't mind seaming
the ribbing. In fact, I wouldn't mind being able to use the KM.

There are fiber stores in Salt Lake City, but I don't ever get to the city
and get to go shopping, so I have asked the fiber people out there for you
and I'll let you know what they say. There is the Needle Point Joint
(actually in Ogden, but that's pretty close - they have ads in Spin-Off
