best way to get a glass carrier is to get anti-newton slide glass and build
it yourself on an extra holder. If you can copy the Focomat method, you
will get maximum sharpness and minimum glass (dust).

I modify them for obsolete film formats, such as 126, 40mm, etc.

I'm not sure your comments are completely fair.
I will admit that I am surprised that Polaroid has no extra slide
carriers around, but I suppose that could happen.
There was a batch of bad slide carriers made which may have caused an
unexpected flow of replacements under warranty at one point.

I have been referred to this site by an engineer at Polaroid, who in essence
told me that Polaroid cannot do anything about the deficient design of their
film holders. He suggested that someone out there who has worked with the
machine longer than I have might have suggestions.
