field.
My gut feeling is scanning or even film developing is the low profit
part of the business since many companies can provide scanning services.

Thanks to "Lists" for this reference to an East Bay shop which offers
scanning services. Someone from here in the further reaches of the
North Bay could get there and back, and be on Cantoo's Imacon for
three hours in between the rush hours, for about $155 ($50 auto
expense plus CanToo's 3 x $35 =
Yikes! Maybe instead I'll sell photo tours of
Utah's canyon country with the first stop at B&H

In Northern California, Brad, north of San Francisco - in "the North

me.

I can't imagine there being something in Berkeley that you can't find in
NYC. Well, Cal Berkeley being the exception.
I think your best bet would be to call companies that offer scanning
services and see if they have machines for rent on premises. My
recollection is Cantoo would give you hands on

to scan others' film, presumably mostly
medium-format? Where I live, I don't think I'd
get much business, but it wouldn't take much to
encourage me to try.

Some UK reviews, mainly in the photo magazines had more detail than the
short PCMag review. Check out what AP, PP, Digital Photo, F3 had to say:
