Is there much improvement between Minolta Scan Dual and Scan Dual II ? I'm
considering purchasing the Dual II or the Canon FS 2710 as they seem to be
pretty close in specs. If not one of them maybe the Minolta Elite as it also
has D Ice.
Any suggestions, comments on the about the scanners mention

If your OS is Win95/98/Me/2000 I suggest you try a program called Qimage
Pro. You don't have to resample for printing as the program does it for you.
The print results are far superior than PS or PSP. The program is very
inexpensive and the support is very good.

Thanks for the info Ed. I plan on getting the LS-40 when they are available
in Canada. The suggested retail is half the price of the LS-4000. By the
time I get the LS-40 you should have all the bugs worked out in Vuescan:)

Strange, any queries I had with Ed directly I found him to be very helpful
and polite. You must have hit him on a bad day. Vuescan is difficult
compared to what ? You can still get silverfast.
