yes i just installed nikon 3.1. nikon is sending the disk but i downloaded it from web site. right now we are checking the firewire card (second time) and the scanner it self. the scanner will prevue but not scan. trhe dell is a new pentium 3 500 mh laptop with 256 mb of ram. thanks. joanna

what does a scanner have to with a money management business? if a computer was so important you should have a back up. photographers do buy the newest equipment which helps them make better photos and use the old as back ups. also there are computer technicians that do the change over night. yo

it works fine with some of that stuff as i have it but i am amassed that you works with that stuff. what you need is a new computer and then eventually a scanner.

i have been unable to install my LS-4000 with a firewire card.i can do a prescan, autoexposure in scan and then it stops and the green light flashes. has amyone experienced this? any suggestion. my computer is new has plenty of ram.

wow, i just hitched up my new computer and ls-4000 scanner and it's amasing.it did not take that long to convert my lots of programs anf i wish i had done it before. it's a necessary part of being a professional photographer.

it you don't have USB your computer is ancient and under powered. there are perfectly easy ways to deal with installing the software etc which i am doing. you don't need two copies of photoshop. you can get by with the LS-2000 but very soon you are going to run out of space or figure out how m

you can get a pmci card for the firewire and it works just fine. YOU HAVE TO HAVE A FULL INSTALL OF WINDOWS 98 and i would call nikon about NT. joanna

i am considering buying a nokia 21 inch #445xi. it has a . 22 dot pitch and resolution of 2400x1600. the monitor is refurbished and is guaranteed for 3 years. price is $359. has anyone have any experience with this monitor and what do you think? thanks, joanna
