So there is a program that listens to the bus and logs everything that goes
through it? Do they make any basic sense or are they like assembler or
machine language, if those terms are still in use?

ur own centering the cut film in the mount,
because there are no edge pins or guides. It isn't that hard to center them
by eye, though.
