Is anyone on the list using any special tools for converting
color images to black and white? I've heard of work flows
where you convert to LAB space and throw away the A and B.
I'm looking for a plug-in or stand alone program

I received the same offer with an Epson 2400 scanner.
I just received the same $299 offer with an Epson 3170 as well.

I just picked up a Memorex DVD+RW/+R at Staples (a US
office supply chain) for $175. DVD+RW speed is only
2.4X but, but what the hey--it should work find for
backup of photo files.

Those are the figures I was thinking of ... I was just off a bit on the result ... DVD
2.4X is about CD-R 21.6X.

I just checked the web site and the rebate appears to have been extended to
1/31/02.
The rebate form requests an original store receipt. Are printed out
confirmations from online vendors soch as ecost considered acceptable?
