Hello, Since my old Dimage Scan Elite is pushing the daisies I have to look for a replacement. Unfortunately my budget is quite limited and doesn't allow a Minolta Dimage Elite 5400 of a comparable Nikon which would be my first choice.
I was searching the internet for a solution that provides ICE because I have good experience with it and came across the Canon 5200F and 8400F which have FARE. Usually flatbed scanners were not regarded as a rival to dedicated filmscanners. Is this still true? Do you have any suggestions for a scanner with ICE/FARE for < 250¤?
