Fellow filmscanners, I have a Canon 8000F which boasts a 48bit output, but I have not yet been able to figure out how to use it. I have the "48/16 bit output" option checked in the preferences dialog box and use it via Photoshop CS. However, on scanning the image, Photoshop claims that the image is 8 bits per channel.
Has anyone, having this or a similar Canon scanner, had similar problems, and if so, what is the resolution?
