According to the Nikon Europe Support FAQ on NikonScan, the LS2000 is not
compatible with NikonScan versions later than 3.1.2 and only works with
3.x.x at all if it has the firmware upgraded to 1.3. It doesn't work with

Kodachrome is a quirky little beast to deal with, especially with
Nikonscan.
In fact for that reason alone do I end up using Vuescan for doing large
quantities of Kodachrome. Otherwise it's just too frustrating to
fight with
Nikonscan.
As to your test results, yes,
I've been Googling since my first message, and have found a number of
references to blue casts on Kodachrome with the Nikon scanners. The weird
thing is that I've owned the LS-2000 for several years, and before this
year-long hiatus had scanned at least a hundred Kodachrome slides without
seeing

I'm in guess mode here. I suspect that there is a problem with the
driver, or the firmware needs to be reflashed.
I have a very vague recollection of some problems with some Kodachromes
with the LS-2000 years ago, and I seem to recall them being quite
underexposed.
My approach would be
