In Finale Mac 2002, in the "Other Options" part of "Program Options",
there is a setting called "Use Navigation Services". If this setting
is on (which is the default option), there should be a checkbox for
"Append File Extensions" at the bottom of the "Save" dialog.

I would guess: only if it is explicitly a converter for serial Midi
interfaces, and if USB drivers for such interfaces are provided (IOW: not).

I did run into a similar problem once. In my case it was caused by corrupt
data on the page in question. I was able to narrow the problem down to one

Interesting detail, perhaps.
In Flanders (i.e. about the Dutch speaking part of Belgium today) in the
13th century one knew already a folk song with the text
"Ic sach Caecilia coomen" (I saw arriving Cecilia)
which has exactly the same tune.

I'm trying to set up midi on my son's PC, and I want to use my old Studio 3
midi interface. Is it possible to simply use a serial to USB converter to
connect the studio 3 to the PC, or will I encounter compatibility issues?
