But, do any of you have an elegant solution for subito or sub. p? Is
there a text font which closely matches the m,p, and f in Maestro?
Am I missing something that others have trolled around and found?

Chuck,
I use the shape designer for a lot of these 'combined' expressions as it

I haven't actually seen a major publication
OK, I'm eagerly awaiting 2004 and Panther..so that I'll be able to
use my extra tool pallet keyboard even more easily, without the
necessity for QuicKeys to intervene, and scrolling will be built in.

Garamond used in bold italic pretty closely resembles the dynamic
letters of the Maestro font.

I think what he is asking is how to put both expressions (in two
different fonts) in the same expression. Normally you can't mix fonts
in measure expressions, but you can in a graphic (shape) expression,
so maybe that is your solution, Chuck.

To each his own, but I don't consider mixing, say, Times with the dynamic
either unappealing, inelegant or non-standard. If for some reason you want
to get close, use italics and bold face, but really I think subito ought to
stay like the other expression markings and the dynamics stand alone.
