Relative to the recent extended threads on copy protection caused by MakeMusic! 's registration scheme, while visiting the website of the U.S. Library of Congress, I chanced upon this page <http://www.copyright.gov/1201/> were I see defined the circumstances under which circumvention of copyright protection schemes of computer programs protected by dongles is not a violation of the law.
