Hi Benjamin,

Can't help you with number one (I think it depends on the number of pages if
you want to do binding that actually creeps)

For #2, Finale always considers the first page in the file as a right page,
no matter what your page offset (Text menu--Edit page offset) is. You can do
one of the following:

Adjust left pages and always remember in your head that left pages are
actually right pages in the file (I personally don't do this because I
sometimes loose track)

 or---

Insert a blank page at the beginning of your score. This will shift the
pages in such a way that you can do your margin adjustments. Then delete the
blank page after you're done so your page numbers are correct.

If you really are numbering from one, and making page one a left page, I'm
not sure that's standard...

Hope this helps...

Allen

Subject: [Finale] Margins, Left and Right 9 x 12

I'm laying out a vocal/piano/flute score in tabloid (9x12) size, with First
page as left, and have two questions:
1. What are the respective industry margins (if any) for (a) lefthand and
(b) righthand pages, to accomodate binding?

2. I tried from page layout view Edit Page Margins, right pages only (page
2) but this re-did the margin for page 1 as well. What Have I done wrong or
need to do?
Thanks,
