Hi, all on list.
I am making some program-notes and a song is just called a German
Trad. I need your help in finding its German name and even some
additional information about it. If you would bother to go to this
web-site:

you will find the song

I know it as The Sandman by Brahms.

The name is: Die Blümelein sie schlafen, and it originates in a
collection published by Anton Wilhelm von Zuccalmaglio and August
Kretzschmer. Johannes Brahms wrote the arrangement. The melody is taken

Does anyone know of a Finale file of the four Seasons (Vivaldi)? I only
want to save myself from having to enter it, I will re-edit it, and not
use in its current form.
I found MIDI files of it, but they seem to have interpreted trills,
which means I would have to take them out.

Johannes~ Have you already tried http://www.classicalarchives.com? They often have several versions of things, and sometimes one will match what you are looking for better than another. This website has saved me literally thousands of hours in entry time! Hope it works for you, too. Erica
Trying to import a MIDI file, I just ran into a strange phenomenon:
3/8 bar, filled with three 16th triplets (9 notes). They turn out as a
9-tuplet of 32nds. Is there any way to change this en masse? There are
lots of them.
I couldn't imagine why Finale thinks 9 in the place of 12 is better
I have sometimes cured this simply by selecting the individual bar (with
mass mover is it called now?) and then hitting retranscribe. Sometimes it
works, sometimes it doesn't.
Cheers,
Lawrence

I know the song as
Die Blümelein sie schlafen
I think it's either a lullaby or a spring song.
Hope this helps!

Here is a question to the collective wisdom:
On a gig this week we were wondering whether Bach ever used the term
spiccato in his original compositions? He does use it in his organ
arrangement of the D minor concerto from Vivaldi's L'estro Armonico, but
I am trying to find out whether he ever
