Maybe whatever tool you use does not create the problem ?

Hello list,
I am being forced to upgrade from MacOS 10.5 to 10.7 because of the imminent
demise of MobileMe and it's replacement by the Lion-dependent iCloud. I have
several important Finale files that were created in Finale 2010 and I would
like to keep working on them in 2010, mainly because the
Yes, everything is fine. It's just that the new behaviour is not documented in
the help files, and I was doing it the old way and not understanding. The link
Eric (I think?) sent has it very clearly laid-out, and I think the new way is
superior, more powerful and can be automated. And of course,

On my Mac, Return and Sh-Return moves down and up staves while in Speedy Entry,
respectively. It has always been this way.
In Speedy, shift up or down arrow changes layers, as does opt-command 1 through
4 in any tool.
In Selection Tool (and several other tools) shift up and down arrow adds stav

No worries, Peter.
I'm actually on an Australian keyboard. I do remember British keyboards as
being different, from when I travel and get confused when things aren't
where I expect them to be.
Glad you've now got a shortcut - I also hate having to switch between

On a US keyboard that's the quote character -"-, am I right? This is what
is given in the manual and the Speedy Navigation menu. However, on a UK
keyboard the quote character is Shift+2 (on the main k/b), which Speedy

Brilliant! I can't believe I never noticed this shortcut before. Much

Thanks Lee, I should have said I was on Windows. That does the job OK, but

Are you sure? For me Shift-arrow up/down in Speedy has always moved the
