I'll be more specific. I have a choral piece with a piano intro of 7 measures and I wish to hide the vocal staves for that system. Then the ladies sing alone for awhile, so I want to hide the men's stave on that system. I have highlighted that system and invoked Hide Empty Staves. All that

Hi Richard sorry I should have been more specific. Usually when you have a bunch of staves showing you can select the staff tool, then select all (cmd-A) and right click on ANY of the handles and choose Hide empty staves and it will hide the staves. Yesterday I came across a file where selecting

Sorry just noticed your comment about 85%, curiously I'm working at a staff reduction of 85% too, I wonder if this is a voodoo number responsible for a bug under various conditions. Then again, it could just be a coincidence - enormous conspiracy theories start this way... -- Simon Troup | BA

Hey guys, I’ve got MacFin11. One of my students (via Skype) has the latest version, so I cannot open his files when he sends me assignments. Is it going to cost me an arm and leg to upgrade, being this far behind. I’m happy just having 2011 version, except for this. All the best, Kim R

Well, I'll be d# The suggestion to change the document back to the last-known working percentage (90%) did not work. (But thanks for the reminder to consider that.) So, on a total I wonder... basis,I  renamed the file, I exported it to xml, Imported it back to .mus, tried the hiding

hi bruce, thanks. a TAB clef is definitely a good idea (suppose i just though it to be obvious, but you are right that it is essential). my idea with the extra space between the 6th-7th strings was to improve legibility. with 10 staves i find it VERY difficult to differentiate the middle
