I went from an old iMac (10.5.8) to a new iMac (10.9.5) using Finale 2012. When

You probably did all this, but quit restart Finale, quit Finale
restart the computer, check any preferences that might affect it, make
sure that you're in the right layer, and so forth.

This seems like a really simple thing and the answer should be obvious,
but I haven't been able to figure it out. I have never run Finale on a

Basic Orchestral Percussion; there's a passage where it changes to glock,
then at a later point changes to xylophone for the rest of the piece. I
found that I needed the default percussion again
Have you shut down Finale and then restarted it to see if the same
problems persist?
I know it sounds crazy but sometimes that helps weird problems such as this.
